About me
Hello, I'm Melanie Blaikie. My interest in all things shiny and sparkly began at a very early age and for as long as I can remember I've enjoyed being creative.
I started my career with what was probably my dream job - Diamond Valuer with DeBeers, London. I continued to become a designer for some of the biggest names in the jewellery world - Asprey, Garrad & Tiffany
I have been teaching Silver Clay Workshops since 2004 and enjoy this hugely. My ethos is that every class is a Stress Free Zone; an opportunity for some creative me-time and a few hours to forget about the ironing, housework and all the other things that seem to crowd our busy lives. You will feel relaxed, refreshed and go home wearing some fabulous new jewellery. What better way to spend a day...?!?!
I am a qualified Art Clay Instructor and a certified trainer for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, so you can relax and know that I will do my utmost to ensure that the time you spend with me is a positive and enjoyable learning experience.
I consider myself lucky to live in rural Suffolk, a beautiful part of the UK, with my husband, our two dogs and Thomas the cat.
